Flipkart Settlement Calculator
Selling on Flipkart looks simple until settlement day. The amount that lands in your bank account is never the selling price you set – Flipkart deducts shipping and fees first, and GST applies on top of your selling price, your product cost, and Flipkart’s charges separately. Left unchecked, sellers often price a product expecting one margin and discover a much thinner one once the settlement report arrives.
This calculator removes the guesswork. Enter your selling price, GST rate, product cost, shipping fee, and Flipkart’s commission – the tool instantly shows your settlement amount, GST payable, and real net profit, broken down step by step.
Who this is for:
- Sellers listing a new product on Flipkart who need to set a price that actually protects margin
- Existing sellers checking whether a product is still profitable after a fee or shipping cost change
- Anyone reconciling their Flipkart settlement report and wanting to double-check the numbers
How to use it:
- Enter your GST rate (usually 18% for most categories)
- Enter your selling price, including GST
- Enter your product cost, shipping fee, and packaging cost, including GST
- Enter Flipkart’s commission and other fees, including GST
- Read your settlement, GST payable, and net profit instantly – no need to submit or wait.

How Flipkart settlement is actually calculated
Flipkart doesn’t pay out your full selling price. Your settlement is the selling price minus the shipping fee and Flipkart’s commission and other charges. GST then needs to be worked out separately on each of these amounts, because GST-inclusive figures can’t simply be added or subtracted – everything has to be converted to its GST-exclusive value first before the real cost and profit can be worked out.
That’s the part most sellers get wrong when they try to estimate this in their head or in a basic spreadsheet. This calculator does that conversion automatically for every field.
Understanding the numbers this tool gives you:
- Settlement (incl. GST): what actually reaches your bank account before GST adjustment
- Settlement (ex GST): the true GST-exclusive value of that settlement
- Output GST: the GST portion of your selling price
- Input GST: the GST portion of your product cost, packaging, shipping, and fees, which you can claim as input tax credit
- GST payable: what you owe the government after adjusting input credit against output GST
- Net profit: your settlement, minus your GST-exclusive product cost and packaging – the number that actually matters
Frequently asked questions
Does this include return and RTO charges?
Answer: No. This calculator estimates the settlement for a completed, non-returned order. Returns and RTO deduct further shipping and handling charges that vary by category and should be checked separately in your Flipkart Seller Hub report.
Is the GST rate always 18%?
Most product categories on Flipkart attract 18% GST, but this varies – some categories are taxed at 5%, 12%, or 28%. Enter your actual applicable rate for an accurate result.
Why is my net profit lower than expected?
The most common reason is forgetting that GST applies separately to your selling price and your costs. This calculator converts every field to its GST-exclusive value before comparing them, which is why the result is usually lower – and more accurate – than a quick mental calculation.
Is this the same as my final Flipkart settlement report?
This tool gives a close estimate for a single order. Your actual Seller Hub settlement report may include additional adjustments such as TCS, TDS, penalties, and reimbursements, which this calculator does not account for.
